EXAMPLE TIMELINES

How much time do we need?

The honest answer is "more than you think"! Most things on a wedding day will take longer than expected. Speaking strictly from experience and desire for you to feel relaxed and stress-free on your wedding day, without any rushing, I recommend planning your timeline with the following considerations so that you can capture every desired moment without the pressure of "running out of time" on this most important day.

CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Getting ready locations

  • Travel time between venues

  • Ceremony length

  • Do you want a first look?

  • Desire for pre-wedding portraits

  • Arrival of guests

  • Desire for special location for couples portraits or amount of time desired for creativity of your couples shoot

  • Desire for family or group portraits before vs after the ceremony

  • Reception events such as speeches or planned activities

  • Duration of the meal service

  • Sunset portraits

  • Party/Dance photos

  • Buffer time
